Frequently Asked Questions
Choosing a photographer for your newborn can be a difficult process. As a mom myself, I know how important it is to have someone you trust to care for your precious new life. It is so important to get to know my new parents before our session, so you feel comfortable with the time we will spend together at your baby's first photo session. Named one of Jacksonville's Top 20 Newborn Photographers in 2016, you can rest assured that safety is my number one priority, and that many hours of study and training have gone into working with your precious baby.
Q: When do I schedule my baby's session?
A: A newborn session typically takes place when your baby is under two weeks old, so it is ideal to book while you are still expecting! Not only does this get you on the calendar, but it also allows time for me to plan and customize your portraits to your needs!
Q: Where does the session take place?
A: All newborn sessions are on location, which means you do not even have to leave your home! I will bring everything to you. If you reside in Jacksonville, Saint Augustine, or Orange Park, Florida, there is no additional charge for travel! If you live outside those areas, I am happy to make arrangements to you as well. Just ask!
Q: How long does the session last?
A: A typical newborn session will last 2-3 hours. This allows time for soothing, changing, feeding, and most importantly, getting the sweet baby sleepy and comfortable! I bring everything to you. Blankets, props, and lots of little extras to help baby stay calm and comfortable.
Q: Do I need to provide the props?
A: No! I bring everything to you!
Q: How much does a newborn session cost?
A: Newborn sessions require a one time retainer of $175 to hold your date. This also covers a pre-session consultation, your photographer's time and travel to your home, and a little gift from me! Digital images, professional prints, and other products are available for purchase separately. You can learn more
